The customer had been using stretch film with a thickness of 23um and consuming 4320 rolls of it annually. We proposed a more sustainable solution that involved switching to Ultra High Performance Stretch Film with a thickness of 17um while also adjusting the tension of their machine to maximize the stretchability of the film. This would not only reduce their plastic usage but also provide cost savings.

As a result, their yearly consumption of stretch film was reduced by over 50% to 2244 rolls, resulting in an annual cost saving of $60k. This significant reduction in plastic usage not only has a positive impact on the environment but also helps customers’ bottom line through a huge amount of cost savings.

Furthermore, reducing the consumption of stretch film also means less waste generation and a smaller carbon footprint. By cutting down on the amount of plastic used, the customer is contributing to the reduction of plastic waste in the environment, which is crucial in our fight against pollution and climate change.
